Being a vfx/animation enthusiast is unfortunately a great way to learn that Andy Serkis and James Cameron really suck, and yet having to remember that a lot of people don't know exactly why and aren't aware of the things they say in general.

Link in bio. I have to resort to creating a go fund me to get by. I live with my mother and about a year ago she lost her job. Ever since she has struggled to find a new one and now we are nearing eviction from our apartment. Please donate if possible or share. I also have commissions open.

A picture of my GoFundMe with two of my cats, Jinx and Ori, as the cover photo. The goal is $2200. A link on the bottom says gofund.me/briana-silk-01jan.

Hello Artist. I just read over twitter's TOS and I highlighted some parts here that are absolutely true. They are forcing you to agree to the terms of using your art to train their models and NOT PAY YOU. Using X grants them a "worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license". Get off of Twitter!

Highlighted parts:
"What’s yours is yours — you own your Content (and your incorporated audio, photos, and videos are considered part of the Content)."

https://x.com/en/tos

"In choosing to submit, input, create, generate, post, or display Content on or through the Services, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license"

"You agree that this license includes the right for us to (i) analyze text and other information you provide and to otherwise provide, promote, and improve the Services, including, for example, for use with and training of our machine learning and artificial intelligence models, whether generative or another type; and (ii) to make Content submitted to or through the Services available to other companies, organizations or individuals, including, for example, for improving the Services and the syndication, broadcast, distribution, repost, promotion or publication of such Content on other media and services, subject to our terms and conditions for such Content use"

"Such additional uses by us, or other companies, organizations or individuals, is made with no compensation paid to you with respect to the Content that you submit, post, transmit or otherwise make available through the Services as the use of the Services by you is hereby agreed as being sufficient compensation for the Content and grant of rights herein."

First time plant owner. I brought my ZZ plant into the office since my coworkers are huge into plant care - look how big my baby's getting! 💜 Btw, her name's Chihuahua (pronounced Chi-who-a-who-a; heard someone pronounce it like that in a grocery store).

I'm begging any artists still using Twitter claiming it's integral to their work to just leave. It's been revealed the site works off a made up "credit score" from hell and punishes you for posting like a normal human being. Abandon Twitter for good. It's time. It's been time.

A quoted tweet from a user named Sam that reads: "How Twitter is rigged
Type in all caps because you're excited? Lowers your reputation. Include links? Your score goes down. It's like the Credit Score system from Hell.
And given Cisgender is treated as a slur & MAGA boosted, you can guess what's categorized as 'offensive'"

The tweet they quoted is from user SADIQ and reads:
"Tweepcred is X's reputation system
Based on your behavior, you get a tweepcred score
It determines your reach
Break the algo rules, you score goes down and your reach disappears
What are the rules of the X algo tho? Glad you asked."

SADIQ includes a photo of Twitter's algorithm code that calculates a user's reputation.

SADIQ continues:
"Post 'offensive text'? 80% reach reduction
Offensive username? 80% reach reduction
All caps tweet? That's seen as 'shouting. Major penalization.
Include links? Yup, penalized"

I've come to the sad truth that I loved the idea of owning a rabbit rather than actually having one; because I live alone and I'm constantly working, the poor thing just wouldn't be able to get all the time and attention it needs. Things can always change, but the dream's on hold for now.

Kindness is such a rare resource generally, but especially in acting. The number of times I hear people remark with surprise "and they're actually as nice as they seem!" in reference to one talent or another is too common Impress them with your skill, but leave a lasting impression with your heart.

People ask me how to get into voice acting or how to be a good voice actor etc and frankly I rarely have any good info or advice But if I could encourage one thing? Keep the part of you that's kind close to your heart, and don't let any part of the industry or the people within it destroy that.
