Mask wearing at #CZF2026 was maybe 33%. We did our best. A very sincere thank you to everyone who was willing to mask up for Chicago Zine Fest! 💗
Photo of people at a moderately crowded event. About half the people are wearing face masks.More people looking at zines at tablers. In this photo, the two exhibitors are wearing masks, but few visitors are.

Anyway if you're at Chicago Zine Fest this Saturday, track me down for my new zine about the Alexandria Library sit-in of 1939.
A zine that's the size and shape of an old card catalog card. The text is in the format of a card catalog, with the title "The Alexandria Library sit-in of 1939" and the author Violet Fox. It promises to be the first in the "Library History Zine" series.

The new antidepressant has been kicking in, so I no longer feel suicidal at all times, just the normal amount. It's been a long year of misery, but maybe I don't have to suffer quite as much now. Here's a nice street in Northampton.
A lovely street with large trees that have yellow and green leaves. Outdoor restaurant tables line the foreground.

A yellow seal on a dark blue background. The seal has the words "Seal of the city of Tacoma, 1884" and a monochrome image of Mount Tacoma, but with a waterway and bridge taking up a lot of the foreground. Classic seal on a bedsheets style flag. A stylized Mount Rainier with a pale blue sky and water. A green horizontal band is below the mountain, with a small yellow circle in the middle of that band. The vibe is bold geometric shapes and cool colors.
