Almost 50 years as a native Texan and country music can still be a mixed field of flowers & landmines for me. I had to explore on my own to find amazing music that also supports my values. I love new music discoveries.. Anyone have any reccs?

Therapy isn't working anymore because I don't need a shift in perspective, I need a shift in the universe. I need circumstances to get easier. I can't think myself out of any of this.

I’m facing the very painful reality that my body can’t keep up with the level of human/pet/house caring I have to do. But there is no other option. I am literally having daily panic attacks over it and my pain is off the charts. I’m really worried for me.

Watching the live feeds is mostly just an unintentional asmr video at this point. *kitchen sounds* *billiards sounds* *footsteps* #bb28

Hi. Life is really hard here. I'm sorry I haven't kept up. Hope you all are doing okay.

The last thing I saw on live feeds yesterday before I noped out was Drew And Devin’s shit talking Taylor’s game. Said there’s no way she’d win the part 1 endurance comp. Waking up to the news that she won is pure poetry. they’ve done nothing but trash her all season so.. karma y’all. 😘 #bb28

Yay I’m so happy about this! The first one was beautiful.

I'm so happy for Taylor! I don't think the remaining 3 really understand all that she's gone through to get this far. I don't think anyone in jury (except Lala) know either. #bb28

15 years ago today (in the UK) and tomorrow (in the US), Night of Hunters, Tori's twelfth album and one of her forays into the world of classical music, was released!

The grief waves are hitting hard tonight, for so many things. A friend asked for Duncan Sheik song recs, so I've been allowing myself to listen, cry and feel and so many songs are snapshots of times in my life. Realizing so many people are gone from my world. This shit is so hard.

This one hurts so much. His beautiful, poetic music has gotten me through a lot over the last 30 years. I had the pleasure of seeing him live a few times (once with Vienna Teng. What a show!). His musical theatre work was amazing. What a loss. I really want to stop losing people I care about.

Vhs tapes. Sigh. There are a bunch I can’t part with, like all the Tori tv appearances since 1993. My xfiles tapes. I know I can watch dvds, stream, YouTube.. but. There’s the nostalgia factor. The dedication young me had to documenting her favorites is pretty cool. But they take up so much space..

I’m working on decluttering and taking inventory of everything I own. Taking it in small steps as I have time/energy. My cd collection is huge, but I cannot bring myself to downsize or put them in binders/get rid of the cases. That feels like ripping my heart out. Am I weird for this??

1990s era soundtracks were really something special.

Very important thread. Between the spreading illnesses, the homophobia/racism/misogyny, it’s been rough for me to watch the Big Brother live feeds this season. Watching people push through illness is super triggering. ME/CFS/Long COVID will mess you up forever. #bb28

On the way to grab dinner, we saw a rainbow after a glorious hour of good soaking, much needed rains. We chased it for a good photo spot and I got this over the cemetery with the flag at half-staff. Beautiful end to this day. 🕯️

Rainbow in a storm cloud filled sky above a cemetery and fencing. A flagpole sits at the side with the American flag at half-staff for 9/11.

I love how I decide to be ambitious and do a massive threaded post and then I realize I don’t know how to do a threaded post properly. 😂 My Scarlets’s Walk relisten will be over a span of time. Caregiving doesn’t pause for fandom, despite my adhd brain thinking I can do it all.. “when will I learn?”

Angela @vinekey.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

I’m going to post little Scarlet’s walk thoughts through the day as I listen track by track. My fave Tori album shifts with what I’m going through, but this is ALWAYS in the top 3.

Cover of Tori Amos’ album Scarlet’s walk. A redheaded woman standing in a floral drsss on a dirt road with a cloud filled sky on the horizon.

Mr. Alliecat reappeared! He's mostly ok, limping a little, so he definitely got into a scrap. Don't see any open wounds, just missing fur, so I hope that rest/time heal him. He takes on the role of security here. I really wish he wouldn't. Dude, I can't afford more vet bills, so please stop.

One of my garden cats, Allie, is missing. I found fur in the yard, so I’m worried he got into a fight with something. I’ve looked absolutely everywhere, but I haven’t found him. Could you spare some good thoughts? Thank you..

Had a really rough day here at my house.... Then finally got the time to watch Big Brother. 😭 I'm so sad about Lala. I really wanted her to win it all. I hope she gets all of the love when she gets out of the jury house. I'm rooting for Taylor now. #bb28

We couldn’t even get rain from a tropical storm! It’s all gone around us. 🥺 Last measurable rain we had was before July 4th. Over 30+ days of over 100 degrees (I’ve lost count). My garden is roasted. Fires keep popping up around us.. I really don’t know how many more summers I can deal with here.
