That's why I was so impressed with A.P.B.'s customization. It was a whole-ass MMO that had to account for both vehicles and player characters and I never once saw anything obscene. (Except a forehead tattoo that said "Public Urinal" with a down arrow but that's fucking hysterical imo)

The best we get online these days is "pick a background color and a symbol to put on it. okay done"

People don't remember the game A.P.B. but you could customize *everything* using the in-game editor, and that included hand-drawing your vehicle's paint job and your characters' tattoos.
