This morning's strenuous exercise was a hike on the South Kouchibouguac Dune in Kouchibouguac National Park. It was an 16.7km hike on sand. Very tiring, but very rewarding, especially with the seal colony at the end. #hiking

This afternoon's bike ride was a 49km route from my house to barachois & ending in shediac. The breeze was against me for a good portion, but most of it was blocked by the forest. Stopped at the pointe du chêne wharf. Always nice there. I saw a lot of cyclists in town, waved hello. #cycling

Today's cycling was very different than what I had planned. It was 22°, so I was dressed lightly. I was doing my normal 24km ride, until I decided to do a detour that ended up being my 31km circuit in the opposite direction. The hills are much easier that way, but less satisfying. #cycling

Ponyo 崖の上のポニョ from 2008. Back then, we were all still convinced that Miyazaki could do not wrong. Decades later, this film does not hold up. I'm really thinking that no one had the courage to say no or that this would have worked better as a short film. The animation is great though. #anime

The Ghost in the Shell 攻殻機動隊. I did not think that you could ever succesfully import the goofy moments from the manga. This 2026 series managed to do it & gave us an excellent series. The writing, acting, animation are all top notch. This gets my highest recommendation. #anime

I went for a shorter ride this afternoon right after I got home from work. The temperature was 22°, so dressed lightly. Glad I did, except when I hit the cooler shaded area on route 490, but it warmed up as I approached the city proper. Ride itself was good. #cycling

I was overdressed for this morning's bike ride. I dressed for 15°, but it was 19°. That's a big difference. The biggest issue were my gloves: my hands & wrists were sweating a lot. The ride itself was ok. Had the wind on my back during the big climb. Got passed by an e-biker, waved hello. #cycling

I dressed up a bit for this afternoon's bike ride. We are about 5° below normal at about 17°, so need to keep warm as riding creates a wind chill. I felt good. The wind though kind of through me off. I thought it was a NW wind, rather it was a SW wind. I was confused by the wind resistance. #cycling

Spent the weekend fixing up a book shelf (the one of the right) that was slowly collapsing. I then assembled the new one on the left. Not sure if I'll keep things that way, but it looks good for now. #booksky #books #bookshelf

2 Bookshelfs each partially filled with novels, non fiction books, japanese prose novels, japanese manga, graphic novels, comics trades as well as a movel of the USS Enterprise 1701-D that my brother & I assembled back in the 90's.

This afternoon's run felt good for 3 reasons: I had not done strenuous exercise since Wednesday, I took advantage of a brief break in the rain & it was the 1st time in 3 weeks that I had run in Irishtown Nature Park. All 3 reasons felt good. #running

The 2018 BBC/Netflix Watership Down mini-series. It's not bad, but it's not good either. All the elements from the story are there, but in a diluted form, so missing that oomph. The voice cast do a good job with the material provided.
