The “super intelligence” thing is useful in the sense that if someone calls AI that you know you are dealing with a TURBO bozo

Guy babbling about AI on this work call has the surname "Dull." Nominative determinism strikes again!

Pocket Judge v1.10.0 (VEN update) is out for Android and will be out on iOS later today. Note that this does not include VEN FAQ because, well, it isn't out yet. Also, hey - closing in 1000 first-time installs. Neat!

Europe is pretty dope and has completely rewired my brain in the span of two weeks? Today I was like "Well I can't figure out this public transit thing, but oh, it's only a 45-minute walk, I'll just do that"

Yeah sorry, I didn't pass out promos because I didn't want your players to succumb to the deadly sin of greed. You're welcome, actually?

Pocket Judge Vendetta release will be delayed a few days. I'll be in Europe for the entire release window. Aiming for an early August release, basically as soon as I'm home from Europe->Gencon.

@raginglevine.com How does something with a keyword that "means" a triggered ability (eg Decayed on Rot-Curse Rakshasa) interact with something like Koh, the Face Stealer's last ability? Can the game "see inside" Decayed and let Koh gain the attack trigger?

1.8.0 rolled out for Android and in TestFlight for iOS: * Ability words (Assault, etc) now look more like they do on the cards * Tweak performance for faster startup * Fixed a bug with name syntax in card search. It works now.

Pro: I can update Pocket Judge's Comp Rules and Tournament Rules without an app update. Firebase is pretty neat! Con: I can *incorrectly* update Pocket Judge's Tournament Rules by accident and brick the entire feature, for everyone, remotely. Fixed it quickly though! >>

Villa 💤 MagicCon ATL @villawhatever.dev · 06/05/2026

There is now an open beta branch of Pocket Judge you can opt into via the Play Store (still only Android, sorry iOS friends). Current beta release: * MUCH faster startup time * Ability words in card search are more accurate to printed text
