「 commission 」for mondegrun on toyhouse 💥

image art features mondegrun's character Nova. she is facing left, partially away from the viewer. hunched over and braced, there is a tense expression of her face as plumes of bright, vibrant red smoke waft up from the corners of her mouth. dust and smoke flurry around the image, and her ears, tied up in a hairlike fashion, dissipate in a thick hurried smoke at the ends.

A 4 page comic about drawing, made for the Portland Public Library's new exhibition, "Why We Make Comics: Reflections on Storytelling" If you live in Portland ME, you can see this comic, as well as 3 others by other cartoonists, on display starting October 6! www.portlandlibrary.com/lewis-gallery/

What do you see when you see a bird? Is it the grace of its flight? The intelligence in its gaze? The sharpness of its beak? The softness of its down? Each of us has been gifted a way of seeing birds, unique to our eye alone. When we are in the woods together, I can see my bird, but not yours.

But what if we draw our birds for each other? And the next time either of us is in the woods, we find our capacity to see has grown? Your drawing can teach me to notice strength, softness, swiftness, grace, I otherwise would miss. It does not need to be a "good" drawing. It has energy and life simply because it is yours.

What abundance, to be surrounded by the drawings of other people! Each overlapping in ways, but at their core, inherently unique. Each one, in its own small way, the gift of sight. Making our perception of the world a little sharper, brighter, deeper.

Ours is an age where, increasingly, capital would like to teach us how to see birds. Smooth, flat, digestible. But real nourishment will always come from each other. I want to see birds the way people do. I want to see birds the way you do.

We are so many seasons away in OPLA but I'm so curious how the hell they will have Franky just running around in tighties and a hawaian shirt (also his ball grabbing intro????) I am so excited for new One Piece watchers to have to deal with that

You're absolutely right and I really like this thread on it I hear so many people yelling about the morality of it all, but in BG it's seen as a power and currency, not really applicable to our world and that's cool to explore

i drew these after i woke up because i had a cora dream that made me sad :( [one piece]

two digital paintings of corazon and tiny law from one piece. the first depicts them against an empty expanse of blue with the hint of a sunrise. the second focuses on corazon smiling while law buries his face in corazon's coat.

Oooh good qs, I've not had to transfer on mine personally buuut: When you check in at the first desk, did the person check in to the final destination? Or just that leg of the flight? If they checked in for the full destination then they SHOULD handle the bag transfer (but check just in case!)

Just seen this sorry- frequent flyer over here! With there being no wifi on the plane, your best bet is to download your music/episodes so you can enjoy them on the plane! Flight attendants are there to help, and make sure you yawn to pop your ears once you have taken off!
