This was a nice talk about USPs! One he touched upon are "systems" and his example of the "Pressens" combo system from Remember me is a really good of a USP that is REALLY HARD to show in trailers. It might be a good system, but you usually need to actually play to see what make it good.

We get a lot of various AI requests and they're all garbage. Stuff like us licensing our assets and codebase to train AI. We have no interest in helping any AI side hustles or companies nor do we use any gen AI in any of our development. 💩

I partner with a data licensing company that pays $5,000 to $100,000 to license individual game codebases for AI labs to train on.

Where Outerloop Games controls catalog source assets or internally developed repositories, there may be a broader licensing opportunity across more than one title. AI labs value complete shipped-game codebases because they show real production systems in context.

I run a program at *** that buys completed professional creative work from independent studios and makers. Real client projects or self-initiated pieces you've already delivered. We pay for the finished deliverable plus the working files behind it: source files, iterations, reference materials, and the brief.

It's a one-time purchase per project, $50 to $1500 per submission depending on scope and complexity. No ongoing commitment, nothing recurring, and you keep doing your own work.
