I adore the designs of the Ba'al bosses from Bravely Second, who were all initially modeled as handmade art objects before being rendered into the game.

Ba'al Diamante, a skeleton with a butterfly wig riding a crystal unicorn

Ba'al Goldie: a sharp toothed goldfish with beads, pearls, rhinestones, and other shiny things in its skeletal belly

Ba'al Turtle Dove: A skeletal bird with a bridal veil and various tinsels and decorative items tied to it.

We've been busy on our multiplayer Godot project and it's coming along well. A co-op fishing adventure where you and your friends survive on a boat and fight back against the creatures of the deep. We're going to be looking for external playtesters very soon.

Concept art, ideating, temp and placeholder art is where the magic happens. It's also a place for more junior folks on a team to contribute work and get better at it. There is no GenAI replacement for that experience and collaboration. It's going to hurt the team and project in the long term.

Seafare --- Elven Migration -- I think all of Ben McEntees illustrations influence my colors here a lot. Was a nice challenge working more mono colored for once.
