3/5 Earlier in 2025 I was sworn in to the WA House. With my colleagues, I secured funds for recovery from the bomb cyclone, removed the cap on special ed funding and secured meaningful wins for our communities. I passed 3 bipartisan laws, proving even in divided times collaboration gets results.

2/5 This year was marked by loss; after Senator Bill Ramos’ unexpected passing, being appointed to the Senate was an honor and huge responsibility. We ran a challenging grassroots campaign to keep the seat and with support of family and friends, an incredible team, and community trust, we won.

My first bill was signed into law today by Governor Ferguson. The bill, HB 1329, is a priority bill for public utilities in the state, and it provides them with tools they need to implement the Clean Energy Transformation Act while keeping energy reliable and affordable. #cleanenergy
