This doesn't work on employers but if you're family's abelist and won't take 'I have severe OCD' as an 'excuse' for not doing dishes you can just say nonsense like 'there were extenuating circumstances' and just...not do them. They'll probably get annoyed but drop it if they aren't violent maniacs.

Btw For anybody in LA who is concerned about increased ICE presence, I got a really good piece of advice from a friend of mine in Minneapolis. Carry a photocopy of your passport, ICE isn't good at returning documents.
