It's a little surprising, but I'm pretty disappointed with classified Lara croft. I'll admit I'm not as into classified as much anymore but her articulation is much weaker than I remember, there's basically nothing at the head or waist. That, and the hands can't really hold any of her accessories.

I've been driving the old mazda again and the clicky wheel really is about as perfect as car UI got. Solid notches for every click, zero lag. I've learned to live with the subaru, but it's shocking how much better this is. I can't believe even mazda themselves eventually fell for the tablet scam.

The click wheel in question, just behind the shifter. It's a round, 2" button that can rotate, click inwards, or click on an X/Y axis to navigate menus. Several shortcut buttons are around it for back, music, home, navigation, and a customizable favorite. A smaller button is on the right that controls volume a d can click to mute.

I ended up bullying myself into getting superion, but I 100% can't stand the backwards leg guys, so I tried printing a new set of legs to flip em around. The frame is surprisingly sturdy even tho I don't have the guys for it yet, but it does extend the shin proportions a little more than I'd like.

The OG superion leg next to a 3d printed one that reuses the knee joint. It actually seats the jet guys further in, so it has to be a little taller.

The two legs next to each other, just seen from the side. The printed one is much closer to bruticus', in that it's more of an open seat for the leg guy instead of a socket it plugs into.

Pokemon selects are great because they're $20, have exactly Enough articulation for what they're trying to be, and are made out of kinda plastic they used for WWII era school lunch trays.

Pleasantly surprised by Xesray Medocus! The mythic legions comparison is inevitable, and I'd say he clears them pretty easy. Much better paint and articulation, similar modularity Also, Xesray is never beating the Gooner allegations. He comes with extra feet, they're just equal opportunity gooners.

Ha for real though, he's just so sturdy and it's really satisfying. All the combiner wars stuff was rickety, and even legacy menasor always wanted to fall over. Dude is just actually fun to pose around.

It might seem like a small thing, but all of bruticus' ratchets have a TON of detents, and it helps a ton with natural poses. The hips have 21 notches forward/backward, and 12 out. And you can detach a transformation joint in the elbow to fake a double joint. I'm kind of in love with this thing.

52toys Ryu. The articulation is pretty amazing overall, but he's got the same problem as their xenomorph where everything is too loose to support itself. Surprisingly, Chun li is fine in that area 🤷‍♂️

I really like how some of the details came out, particularly the orange stripe. First time I've done masking and sponging. All the joints are held together with sticky tack right now, but I'll glue everything together when I settle on a pose.

Calling it finished on the marauder. I took some STLs from locust labs on myminifactory and blew them up to 400% to match some other stuff. I painted it to loosely match my old MWO clan colors, and I'm pretty happy with it.

Worked through a paint process on the legs the other night, and now I'm looking through my notes to finish it and THE HELL DO I MEAN I wasn't sure which blue I used in one of the steps. I took notes as I was doing it specifically to avoid this oh god

I think the main takeaway from the Heresy novels is the imperium's biggest weakness is getting ragebaited. The whole thing started cuase someone told horus "hey, I heard this guy talkin shit bout u" Dropsite massacre? The traitors tried to recruit ferrus and he got so offended he ran right into it

Nope, just the stock one and a mix of settings. Finest detail for the front of the body and arms, medium for the legs and back since they're not as visible. And the orientation makes a big difference, I printed some parts in half and glued em together. But you can definitely see lines on some angles

Figured I'd try upscaling some battletech minis to match the Arcadia tomahawk (warhammer). Started with the Awesome, but I think I screwed up the numbers, cuase it's a little too short. But I think I could get away with using tan/light brown filament instead of making it a whole paint project.
