@samseder.bsky.social usually gets things right, but I just saw him get them very wrong. He claims that Democrats saved Republicans because they are afraid to insult their voter base. If they're gone they have no voter base. Democrats stressed that they need a strong Republican Party.

An indicator I look at for economic health is Social Security disability claims. As the economy gets worse, people working with conditions apply as they lose their jobs and people start claiming ridiculous conditions such as sickle cell trait (not anemia - just the malaria immunity).

HR 2540 is a good bill that should pass. However, this post is horribly misleading. First, all the bill does is raise the resource limits for SSI to $10,000 for individuals and $20,000 for married couples. It then ties those amounts to the cost of inflation.

Tim Scott called the Obana monkey video the most racist thing from this admin. Shame on Senator Tim Scott. Comments the Haitians and Somalians, were way more racist. The call to racially profile for ICE and strip citizenship from those born to noncitizens was more racist.

So the DOJ arrested a man for inciting violence who self-identified as Antifa. They claimed he self-identified as things he did not, such as a terrorist. This taints jury pools. Mistrial. The charges clearly fail the Brandenburg Test which requires imminent lawless action and likelihood.
