Barney headbutted me so many times he turned his own ears inside out. Once I got done snickering and taking a photo, I did fix it. Don't worry!

A small half grown tabby and white cat on my chest. His giant ears are both flipped inside out, making him look very silly.

Barney has someone interested in meeting him! Which is SO EXCITING. But I will miss his little face if he's adopted. He's the best boy.

Barney is a very weirdo little cat but he does adore humans. I got home from work today and was exhausted and everything was TOUCHING me. I had to cut my hair BC it was too much 😂😂 Laying in bed in the dark is much nicer.

A very weird little tabby and white kitten, pointing his muzzle in our direction as he snuggles with my kid. He has long white whiskers and a big pink nose.

We are picking up some new foster friends from our local Humane Society ♥️ They were discovered near a dumpster in the Dollar General parking lot & brought in for help. They remind me so much of Toofus & Squiggy! #Cat #Cats #CatsOfBluesky #CatLovers #AdoptDontShop

Cadence however is VERY polite when there are treats. Mostly because if she gets too excited she forgets I'm not allowed to touch her and I can sneak in a little chin rub (RUDE).

A black cat very politely learning forward to lick at a blue treat tube I am holding. She is slightly nervous but likes the treats very much.

Snacks are VERY serious business. Aeroplane ears are absolutely warranted. Barney was also concerned the other cats would eat all the snacks, even though he was the only one not sharing politely.

A half grown kitten trying to make sure he's ALL the way into the snack tube. His ears are in aeroplane position and he looks very determined. He is tabby and white.

I WAS ALLOWED TO PAT LOKI'S BUTT. Also I made Clover Honey scented goat milk soap and it turned out nicely.

A small grey cat inside the cube hidey hole in a cat tower. She looks like she will smack you if you get too close, and she absolutely would.

I was cleaning and also setting up to make soap. Loki is an excellent little snoopervisor.

A small and very plush grey cat sitting on my top shelf, looking down on me. The wall behind her is insulation and plastic. I'll line it eventually. She looks very judgey, but not scared or angry.

CELEBRATION. I have successfully bathed the dog, who hates baths. And I didn't dislocate anything. (Hers OR mine) She's been itchy and trying to give herself hot spots, so she got a nice medicated shampoo soap with Malaseb.

Tom! Snuggly, and letting me rub his belly. I can't remember if I was on Bluesky when this boy absolutely PANICKED and put me in hospital for 3 days.

A very adorable ticked tabby cat sprawled across my belly. He has little curly paws, is mostly upside down, and is letting me rub his belly. I'm laying in a reclining chair.

Loki! I was allowed to stand on a chair and LOOK at her. She also sniffed me, and didn't hit me! I gave her treats for being so brave.

Happy Sea Otter Awareness Week, Moea! 🦦 Our rescued Southern sea otter is an estimated 17 years old. She is calm, confident, and loves spending time with her fellow otter pal, Clara. She’s also a foodie at heart, and her name is too! "Moea" is a nod to the scientific name for sweet potato. 🍠

Ahsoka is testing out new safe places to get pats. Recliners are approved. White freezer is approved, black freezer is DANGER DANGER. The floor is mostly danger, but the litter box lids are safe. The work tables are safe, but the shelves are danger. She's so funny.

A small black cat with a splash of white on her chest. She was laying on the recliner but she has stood up for pats, and her front two feet are on the arm of the chair while she looks at me expectantly.

Ahsoka was very interested in my dinner and was very brave about exploring my chair. She did get a few scraps of chicken as reward.

I started my new job yesterday, so posting might be a bit scarce until my brain/body acclimate. In the meantime, look at Barney's little curly whiskers!

A very perfect half grown tabby and white cat. He is sitting up and then turned over his shoulder to look at me. He has lots of very excellent long white whiskers, some with curled ends. I suspect it's from running his face on absolutely everything.

Good morning from Ginny who is the best and most perfect girl, who probably still needs a bunch of dental extractions 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😭 Her meds have helped with the stomatitis but some of the teeth look like the damage had already occurred. Sigh.

A perfect ginger girl cat with white around her muzzle. She is soft and darling and lounging on a top shelf.

Also here is Loki and Ahsoka yesterday afternoon. That box really isn't big enough for both of them but they made it work. They're on the tippy top of my soap shelves.

A grey cat and a black cat, heads together, looking at me with the same expression on their silly little faces. They're wedged together in a wire box thing with one open side, so it kind of looks like a cat bed. I've put a towel in it for napping.

In other, not foster related news, look at what hatched today! I should not be hatching babies until I have sold some of my hens and reduced flock numbers, but y'know. Two barely even counts.

Two freshly hatched baby chickens. One is all yellowish white, with black eyes, and the other is black and white splodged.

Loki is doing really well with freedom. She is still VERY whappy and Barney got extremely well bopped, but I did not push my luck. She did try and smack the churu tube out of my hand, and somehow covered herself, Barney, and the surroundings in churu.

Best and silliest girl. I love her so much. I wish I wasn't full to bursting, but I absolutely am not allowed to own seventeen cats. (Mostly because I cannot afford seventeen cats sensibly)

A ginger cat, sitting up tall. She has zero thoughts in her head, which is unusual because she's usually full of thoughts. Her tongue is poking out a little bit.

So, Loki is a conundrum. She is scared, but violent. Absolutely murderous, but likes an ear rub once she calms down. She bites, hard and fast (I've avoided this). She reminds me A LOT of Milton who was my first adult feral and five years later is my sweetest snuggle bug.

In other news, Loki is BIG FURIOUS and very hitty/spotty/hissy/lunge-y. I have paid in blood twice today, and wasn't even trying to bother her! I think she's grumpy Ahsoka left, even though she would also be grumpy if Ahsoka tried to cuddle her.

A very grumpy little grey cat, being harassed with a rabbit fur wand. Desensitisation is hard work! One eye is squinty and she would bite out faces if she could.
