Doing some investigation for the analysis side. Plan for now: - new repo for data analysis - run scraper locally - upload raw css to some storage (suggestions welcome) - analyze css and store results in duckdb - commit db files to repo - commit queries to repo Hoping to make analysis reproducible

I also remember that one of NL's largest ecommerce shops used to (or still does) progressively enhance meters into 0-5 star ratings with a little bit of js. Possibly 100% doable with modern css these days.

As for styling, I only style the background and the meter-foreground? itself. I recall having to use some vendor prefixes.

Yeah, I think some small affordances could make the public API more open to composition, pick-and-choose which entry points you need. But also, it could open up possibilities to run (parts of) stylelint.io/demo/ in the browser without web containers.

I think I've nailed it down to these points (with a bunch of help from Claude): - Linting always starts from the `stylelint` global, no official way to skip I/O; also true for `createPlugin()` which leads ever - Several modules import Node API's to get EOL and process.env which trips the browser

In Wallace's css-parser I have made percentages a unit, because that's what people (THAT INCLUDES ME) expect and it is a lot more convenient to use.

It's a thing I learned from using CSSTree (where percentages are *not* a node with type=unit) and even @tabatkins.com said they're not dimension-units, but mostly for legacy reasons lists.w3.org/Archives/Pub...
