If Lebron James fits in this Porsche 918 Spyder, I'm pretty sure you don't need a pickup truck to fit in.

This sounds like someone who's never seen proper bike lanes. Go to Paris, or better, to the Netherlands, you'll see that the well designed bike lane are neither painted on the road, nor on the sidewalk. They have their own lane, separated by concrete or stone blocks. Example:
Bike lane on avenue de la République, paris. It's separated from cars by a granite border, and from the sidewalk by trees and lawns.

Could be... but I'm not sure it's the only factor here. Gasoline prices in Australia did rise, but not as much as in 2022 for example. It could be the conjunction of price rise with better and cheaper EV models. But such a sudden change seems to indicate something quicker like a policy change.

This is wildly exagerated. Below is the French electricity generation during the historic heat wave beginning of July 2025. You can see that nuclear is still very high, and France was exporting a lot to neighbouring countries.

Your'e right, the image makes it somehow look a lot bigger than the video. However, this bumper is still a lot too high and can hurt children badly. Look at the difference with the average car in France when I was a child:

Germany was really the only country above the rest on PV from 2000 to 2010. It was thanks to subsidies. And yes, it's a very good thing to do, because it kickstarted a world energy revolution.

China has more solar panels because they are more people. If you look at per capita figures, the USA is still leading (as of 2024 at least, I didn't find more recent numbers) And both are far behind Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, Hungary

As I said, all the countries that tried to reduce succeeded. That's enough to say that "we've never replaced fossil fuels" is a false statement. But of course, it's not reducing fast enough, and I totally agree that producing less is necessary.
