another day driving the fucking roboworm

a pulp-style painting by Johnny Bruck circa 1971 depicting a person in a bulbous yellow space suit driving a miles-long metallic segmented wormlike vehicle across a rocky purple alien landscape covered in stalagmites and crags

for millennia you would spend your life dreaming of an audience with the pope and today, through the miracle of technology, Jesus Returns Movie can talk to him with the press of a button and he uses it to say “has his excellency considered the Minions”

What about the Minions? Hundreds of humans working together to bring Entertainment to life... Does the Church Approve of that? Or is that a NO-GO?
Cartoons, Stop-Motion Animation, CGi... they're ALL in the same category. (Now, add Ai Films to it.) They're NOT traditional movies, they are something else... simply PURE entertainment. The Church now DECIDES what
TOOL Creative HUMANS are using?

and there’s a gif of two minions hula dancing in grass skirts that fall down and show their undies.

putting off my seasonal shots for the reason of "I don't want to feel like That again" is the worst. just kind of an all around bad decision but...I Really do not want to feel sick even if it's for like a day tops

I've had a really bad cough that has Not let me sleep a normal sleep for 2 to 3 days now and I finally got to sleep until my usual lifelong "wake up slightly at 5-6am time" and I don't think I've ever felt this happy about not being sick. I don't recommend being sick!!!!

George Lucas interviews are truly one of the little pleasures of the world. ineffable guy who was just throwing things together and people of the world putting it on the highest pedestals possible only for him to just go "yeah idk man it's movie magic"

currently my actual thoughts on the new fire emblem in case it wasn't clear

000

vectorj @vectorj.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

nintendo just let whoever is responsible for all the sci-fi bs make an xcom. it'll be cool. it'll be great. you can date a slime alien. you can date yourself, probably. the sky's the limit and I think they need to promot that person

111

vectorj @vectorj.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

yeah I don't get it. I think maybe it's prone to "must be cherished at all costs" as most nintendo games tend to be. maybe it's because these do have to have "writing", considerably more than most and it's upheld a bit more.

The best part of being an artist is that you can just draw whatever dumb idea comes to your head at 1am

A scene parodying the Neon Genesis Evangelion scene of Asuka and her Eva unit getting pierced by the spear of longinus. In this scene, Linguini and Remy from Pixar's Ratatouille take the place of the EVA unit and Asuka respectively. Linguinis eye is pierced by a fork version of the spear and Remy is depicted in an inset where he is grabbing his eye and screaming like the anime. There are anime subtitles at the bottom that say "AHHHHHHHHH!"
