I got to meet the delightful Andrew Robinson a few years ago and told him how watching his portrayal of Garak, and his proximity to Dr Bashir, partly inspired my journey to becoming a doctor. So it’s oddly serendipitous that a version of Garak is now a doctor. Thanks @mikemcmahan.bsky.social

After a good start to day 2 of #SIVA24, I am now being personally attacked in the talk on burnout. I'm half expecting my face to be on the next slide. All joking aside, Simon Edgar's talk on finding joy in what we do is both moving and motivating. Cynicism is infectious, and we ARE the culture.

Simon Edgar speaking about hotel chains where turnover is low, because a focus on staff and staff engagement results in better experiences for those who stay in the hotels.

Service users benefit from good organisational culture.
