Depends on the issue, but I've definitely passed up earlier available appointments for a later one with a doctor I trust. Usually it's a matter of days or a couple weeks; if I have to wait several months, it's generally not because I have options.

Something with fiber, since you'll be on a low-fiber diet for a few weeks afterwards. Really just take a look at what you can't eat on the low-fiber diet and get whatever you think you'll miss the most. For a lot of people that ends up being green veggies.

Far fewer people would take the wine than the bread, but sometimes they'd calculate how much wine to consecrate by just counting heads and they'd be off by A Lot.

My dad used to administer the eucharist, and they had to eat any leftover bread (we mostly used unleavened bread instead of wafers) and drink any leftover wine. At the end of mass, all the ministers would pass around the wine and bread until it was gone. Sometimes my mom had to drive us to dinner.

My camera roll has almost 48k pictures in it from the past 8.5 years. I used to take 5-10 minimum for a shot I was replicating every day. The only reason that number was so low is because they were only for my personal records and I'd been doing it for years by that point. So, yes, totally normal.

I think with intestinal, any post-operative depth loss is primarily from the other organs settling back into place. The canal itself is a section of the sigmoid colon, so it has no real drive to heal shut. Dilation for intestinal is more about preserving the introitus than maintaining depth.

Oh, and the depth! The intestinal method gives incredible depth. I dilate with orange up to the thumb notch. I could go deeper but I had a couple close calls where I almost lost the smaller dilators by going too deep.

I wore pads and then liners for the first two months or so, but that was primarily in the immediate aftermath when things were still bloody and oozy. Towards the end it was just because I was tired of changing underwear every time I sneezed after dilating.

This was my first and only vaginoplasty. We went with intestinal at Dr. DC's recommendation, though he said he could also do either PI or PPT, but intestinal was his recommendation based on the available material.

Also, while lube is necessary for dilation/sex, I do still get a decent amount of self-lubrication with this method. Sometimes I wake up with wet underwear, but not often enough to be a problem, and it doesn't happen during the day.

Dr. DC did my surgery, too! If you're on the Discord, my surgery diary from May 2024 is on there, and my 1-year results are on the Wall of Vagina. I had some initial concerns about the intestinal method (mostly wrt odor) but he assured me it wasn't an issue, and it never has been.

That ended up leaving a divot that took a while to heal through, but it turned out fine. It just looks like someone took a bite out of one of my labia. I also had them cut some webbing around the 6 month mark, as it had inadvertently healed as a kind of "husband stitch".

my surgery sister (same date, same surgery) was back to normal significantly faster than I was, but she had stepkids and dogs and stuff to take care of, so she was motivated to push herself. The only complication I had was a dehiscence caused by clipping what turned out to be a suture knot.

I've been pretty happy with my intestinal vaginoplasty. It's supposedly more resistant to stenosis than other methods, too, so hopefully that'll be all you need! (As far as completionism goes though, there's also jejunal graft, though I think that's a first attempt method only 👀)

Society conditioned me to believe that if you don't have kids, you shouldn't interact with them. At first I thought this primarily applied to those presenting as cis men, but it seems to be especially true for trans women. I would be scared to take my nieces and/or nephew anywhere without their mom.

I don't think I interact well with children (I have a tough time faking the right kinds of enthusiasm), but more than anything else, I am terrified of them / their parents. They're kind of like bear cubs to me in that I'm afraid that if they get too close, their parents will attack.
