the writer does not fall into that same category. You should never be afraid to write outside your experience. But I think it's extremely important to talk to people who DO have those experiences so your portrayal is as informed as it can be. At the very least, sensitivity readers can be invaluable

Finally watched project Hail Mary and oh my god yall were right it's so good 😭 I LOVED the use of practical effects. Like at times you could sort of tell but it didn't distract from the viewing experience at all whereas I feel like with CGI I can always tell & it's almost all I notice
