The game is well over 2 decades old, its janky, it has a learning curve shaped like a brick wall, and a lot of the character of the game comes from it being an unbalanced dumpster fire. Saying that, FFXI is something you only get to enjoy for the first time once. Have fun, take your time.

People elsewhere seemed to enjoy this so bugger it, you guys can have it too. I took what I've learned about how FFXI does fonts and turned it into a TTF. It's not perfect, but, it's (in my opinion) better than the Vana'diel UX one floating about, link in the second post

Given the dialogue box some more polish to be more FFXI-themed if you select that option. All configurable to any kind of way you want it to display! The speed UI band under the dialogue box also fades out now and the auto-advance has been replaced with a FFXIV styled rotating icon.

Months of development in Hymnus and I'm proud to say the gif exporter feature in the model viewer can now output transparency with only minor issues, and produce a near seamless loop. My days of lots of photoshopping to make stupid gifs are over.... Kupo.
