I had a big brain moment and realized I could put patches inside the cover-on-cover without ironing them to the cover itself... So those starlink patches can finally see the light of day instead of the dark safety of my drawer 🥹

my pièce de résistance... went to the ROM a few weeks ago but they didn't have much I could glue into my book so I just used my own photos and the guide map brochure (which I refused to cut btw, it's still 100% functional except like one of the basement levels on the back is glued down)

A destiny 2 comic. Panel 1: Lodi and my guardian Ceph are standing together, Lodi is saying "I've been having a hoot exploring the last city. The people are welcoming, the food is great..." Panel 2 is a close up of Lodi and ceph's faces. Lodi says "and boy do they hold you... In.. high regard" with a slightly awkward/judgemental expression. Ceph has question marks beside his face. Panels 3 and 4 show Lodi talking to Saint 14 and then crow, with each explaining in depth what the guardian has done for them. Panel 4 shows Lodi talking to Hawthorne, who launches into her famous repetitive tower dialogue but talking about the guardian "he just doesn't give up does he. Took out ghaul, woke up the traveler--". The last panel shows Ceph looking embarrassed while saying "ah, those guys". Lodi says "also, people really seem to like birds around here, huh?"

And Ceph. He started out as a nameless warlock whom I drew exactly like his character-creator self. It was the D2 art community that inspired me to make him whoever I wanted him to be. He is my most precious OC and I'm thankful for the time D2 let me spend with him.

I loved sharing my fan art and fan comics with you all over the years. I loved connecting with D2 players from all walks of life with jokes, shared experiences, and recent story beats. I loved reading comments on twitter, Reddit and Tumblr. I was honoured to have my art featured in the TWAB/TWID.

And the D2 community itself is so receptive and appreciative of its creatives in a way I never experienced before that (coming from smaller games and communities who barely care about fan works). When my first comic blew up I was so touched, and then... It just happened again and again. I felt seen.

It was also the D2 art community that pushed me to make more art, more AMBITIOUS art and I grew so much as an artist because of the inspiring creators in this community: artists, 3D artists, cosplayers, writers. We all love this world so much, we want to expand it and share our love for it

1. Character Name Mikh Swiftclaw When she left her tribe in the shroud to become an adventurer, she also left their surname behind (Bajhiri) as a way to cut ties and strike out on her own. She ended up using the fake surname Swiftclaw because she couldn't get by with just her first name.

I don't have a lot of gposes/art of them tho I have a bunch but my TOP one (after zenos) is Nhaza'a Jaab (allied society intersocietal quests)...predictable for me given his personality, but he's a rare moon miqote & he inspired a lot of Mikh's backstory

Look how many times I tried to draw ceph's hand in panel 2 until I gave up and traced a model lol. Can I draw a hand without one? Yeah, and I do. But I'm not gonna get a cookie or a medal for suffering needlessly over it when I can use a tool, finish the piece and move on. Same with my backgrounds.
