Something AI is responsible for that doesn't get enough talk: How, when it scrapes a website to illegally steal everything on it, it uses up a ton of its bandwidth allotment, crashing it or racking up massive fees for site owners.

Reminiscing about my past and present modding ventures got me thinking; On a scale of easiest to hardest, how do all the games I've modded ('Made mods for' not 'Installed mods for') fare in a ranking I think it looks something like this...

This is bad journalism. It cannot be overstated how much harm has been caused by lumping "LLM driven toxic bullshit" in with the traditional understanding of AI as a computer science discipline. The tools and techniques described in this article have nothing to do with LLM-based systems.

Some of you have forgotten that only three years ago you were perfectly capable of writing an essay, writing a eulogy, telling a bedtime story to a child, and it should worry you that powerful companies have convinced us we can’t do things we’ve been doing for 5,000 years.

I'm categorized as an AI subscriber, because I'm subscribed to the 3 TB tier of Google Drive and and they literally just changed the name of the plan to "Google AI Plus." Those "AI subscriber" numbers are 100 percent juiced and phony, and you're a sucker if you believe otherwise.

The hunt begins🪶 #art #TheBloodOfDawnwalker #Dawnwalker

"The blood of dawnwalker" fan art piece

The piece depicts a forest at night. Owls are hidden amongst the dark leaves, intently scanning the surroundings with their eyes glowing scarlet as they search for prey

A bright, cold moonlight cuts through the dense foliage, illuminating a humanlike figure crouched on a branch

The man sits hunched over, his left arm outstretched and his claws clenched tightly around the bloodstained body of a hare. The man’s mouth is also smeared with blood, and his eyes, like those of an owl, glow crimson

i like how its all paid modders (blxss, lye, solona) using and defending genai in workflow bc it's "easier". it is because they see modding as a method of making money off the community that they're willing to overlook the environmental, social, ethical issues they KNOW are true about genai.

So this game called "Dverghold" came across my Steam homepage. Interesting retro vibes, apparently collabing with a dungeon synth artist for the OST. The art was kinda tickling my AI-dar though, so I scrolled down to look for any disclaimers.
