"Do you... want to talk about it?"

"I don't even know what to say, Beks. What did it look like?"

I shrugged. "I watched it, but I wasn't sure entirely what happened. It looked like you were being dragged along."

"It was like something grabbed me. I didn't see anything, but I felt it." She rolled up her sleeves, twisting to look at her forearms. I gasped as she did; deep red impressions painted her wrists, already starting to shift from initial irritation to a bruised blue. "It was like I was cemented in place. My shoulders locked and I couldn't get away, and I got this overwhelming horrible feeling."

I also really like mushrooms, I just suck at ID. I'm proud of myself for recognizing the amanitas and puffballs! We also found some inky caps!! Some more for your viewing pleasure. There's so many mushrooms in this forest.

Indeed! I'm not the best at ID-ing mushrooms but within 10 minutes walk of each other: Puffballs! Huge and edible (when they're still white at least)! Amanitas! EXTREMELY poisonous!

#PretendPanel I tend to be very frank when it comes to voices. With sounds, it depends on the situation. I like leaning into onomatopoeia when it comes to horror, so we can experience the sound with the character. Formatting note - bold and italics is mental speech/telepathy.

A snippet from Aloe by Artemis Quinn in Cypress' POV. It says -

"I have to take a drive," I said quickly. "Austin is too tired and the new Wolf got attacked with a human. We meed to check cameras."

"We?!" Acanthus' voice was shrill as they pulled away from Corbin and slid off the bed. "What is this 'we'?! Cypress, what about the bulletins?"

Hat. Hair tie. Shirt. Hoodie. Sunglasses. Bandana. I ran through the items in my mind as I grabbed them, movements jerky and frantic. "It'll be fine. I'm getting a disguise together." In truth, I was just kind of glad that I could do something. Even if I was playing chauffeur, it was better than grabbing a cooler from a hatchback. I went to step back towards the door, but Acanthus blocked me. "Acanthus—"

"No, Cypress, I'm begging you to listen!"

I paused, breaths quick and short. "I don't have time, Acanthus. I love you."
