Furaffinity, besides being one of the most iconic pillars of the global Furry community, is one of the last bastions of what used to be mainstream art site culture where both casual viewers and artists mingle without competition. Please support its continued operation.

If you think an artist's style looks like AI but you can scroll back through their portfolio and see them doing the same work before 2020, congrats, you're not looking at an AI grifter. You're looking at one of the original victims whose entire style AI stole.

black pearl and liquid gold

An illustration of a man with tan skin and long black hair looking deviously at the viewer with his chin resting in his palm. Behind him are two silhouettes of himself (a yellow-tinted one on the left who is holding a strange golden blob in his hand and looking excited, and a blue-tinted one wearing a mask and hat and holding a black staff). In the far back is a golden-faced angelic creature with a small beady eye at the center of its face. It's surrounded by a ring of garbled text and the word YVON. The backdrop is a pixelated blue image of the ocean, and a golden fish spine acts as the leftmost border.

A black and white comic page.

Panel 1: A candle in the dark
Panel 2: Two characters (a large man with pointed ears, dark skin, and a fat build on the left, and a long-haired human man with light skin on the right) are preparing to go to sleep. The human man is lying on his side and the pointed-eared man is sitting up.
Panel 3: The pointed-eared man leans over and kisses the other man on the side of the head
Panel 4: A panel of both men lying on their sides, the candlelight now extinguished.
Panel 5: A close-up of the human man's face. He looks disturbed.
Panel 6: Staring back at the human is his own dead body. Its skin is covered in blood and bruises and its eyes are vacant.

A dark illustration of a vampire wearing a tattered hood. He has shaggy black hair, red eyes, and long fingernails. He's holding a strange occult object with a dangling crow's foot at the end. In the background, various other unusual occult objects (a mask, a jar with a fetus, a skeletal hand with jewelry, etc.) are visible. The art has a red ornamental border with the word BLAISE on one side.

An illustration featuring a man with long blonde hair bathed in blue shadow. He's looking over his shoulder at a mirror which is reflecting itself over and over in its center. The art is bordered with a white glass-like border featuring angel wings. Text on the left side reads "Wanderer of Time" and "Angel of Man"

An illustration of a long haired man with elf ears looking somberly at the viewer. He has tear tracks down his cheeks. he is standing in front of a series of eroded statues, each of which also has tears in its eyes and is overgrown with foliage. The sky is red and ominous behind them.

An illustration with a decorative white border. In the center, a large, dark gray skinned man with glowing eyes is lying on his back, and a much shorter man with pale skin and long hair is resting on his shoulder, nude and draped in a dark blue cloth. In the background, various versions of the shorter man are lying dead, with a ripple effect distorting them and the background.

In the second panel, he uses a dagger to cut through a wad of flesh, revealing the face of a person beneath (SFX: SKKKT). The third panel shows a gigantic blob of flesh and many agonized human faces peering out from it, being consumed.

a horse with no name

An illustration of my vampire oc, Tristan, from my original story Les contes du nécromant.

In a scene framed by brambles, Tristan rides the pale horse of death, wandering in the desert. He is dejected, his shoulders slumped and his hair obscuring his face. Three red arrows are planted in his back. A black ray coming from a moon circled by pointy bits, featuring a pattern of red droplets cuts across the landscape.

The background is split in two. In the upper section, brambles and roses overrun a tangle of animal and human bones.
In the lower section, a row of grave : each one bears a bat motif.

Humaning.

A four-panel comic. In panel 1, a Northern Cardinal and American Goldfinch perch above a busy crowd in a city, looking down. The cardinal says "It's a nice day to go humaning." The goldfinch says "Just look at them. Majestic." In panel 2, a close-up of the two birds. The cardinal says "Nobody tells you that you'll reach a certain age and suddenly get into humaning. I hit 3 years old, and then bam."The birds are looking out over the crowd scene. In panel 3, the cardinal says "Their calls sound funny to us, but each one has a unique meaning." Below, people are saying various things: "I'm tired." "Where's my phone?" "I'd murder a burrito." In panel 4, the birds look down excitedly at a man walking by. The cardinal says "Wait, is that a guy who got dressed in the dark and put his shirt on inside out and backwards?" And the goldfinch exclaims, "Holy... that's a lifer!"

Executives working on AI at Microsoft and OpenAI admitted what its critics have been saying all along: Large language models are predatory pieces of technology that have been built on what a Microsoft executive called “an astonishing theft of unprecedented proportions,” and the “largest theft of labor in human history.” An internal Microsoft document said generative AI products have created a “doom loop” that is killing “the entire web.”
