Yesterday, I had a woman firmly hold the back of my head while a man fitted a Clockwork Orange-style device in place to hold my eye open. He then shot a laser into the depths of my eye. Today, I can see the debris from those shots floating into my vision. Modern medicine is deeply weird. #YAGLaser

People often ask how close Detroit is to Windsor so I present this picture from the airport. The cluster off three tall buildings is the Renaissance Center in Detroit. Also, yes, it's very flat here.

Shopping at Christmas time has its own delights. I love seeing so many pretty things all displayed together, and when they're thoughtfully arranged it's so much better.
