This is the most heartbreaking stories I’ve heard in a long time. ICE detained 2-year-old Orlin Hernandez Reyes’ mother. She begged to be reunited with him before deportation. ICE refused. What happened next is horrific. No matter how you feel about immigration, normal people don’t like cruelty.

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

There are two solutions. A: Trump keeps tariffs, causing a recession. Companies will not invest billions to onshore manufacturing plants during a depression. B: Trump removes tariffs. Companies will not invest billions to onshore manufacturing if there is so much policy uncertainty around tariffs.
