Omigod, this is the most heartwarming story possible! Backpack (bear 89) is the son of the 2019 winner of Fat Bear Week, Holly (bear 435). In 2007, he injured his foot & a practice of riding on momma's Holly's back had a new meaning: he was mobility-restricted while it healed. So Holly moved him.

From DISCVR blog's Facebook page, a momma bear & a yearling cub on her back in the shallow water. I think the background has been swapped out, and I can't rule out some AI use there? God, Facebook has become the social media for AI slop : (

Here’s the most incredible story you’ll read today. A small plane with four people aboard crashes in a field. Another pilot witnesses it. That pilot happens to be flying a bunch of skydivers. They offer to jump to assist, are given permission. The skydivers happen to be EMTs. Everyone survives.

that's a bit hard to do because of insurance and such - although my insurance already doesn't cover CGMs but fwiw, i've never had a band-aid type thing ever stick to me for long either and hence haven't bothered with them in ages.

very frustrated at the way my body apparently is unable to keep a glucose monitoring device from not sticking to my skin for more than a couple of days - tried a bandaid type patch over it, those keep unsticking and pulling the CGM with them, elastic bandage keeps moving, my skin is teflon.
