I’m continuing to learn British wildflower names. I think this awful picture is of Yellow Archangel, looks like a nettle but doesn’t sting. Websites says it takes over from bluebells but our bluebells aren’t out yet.

Trump cannot understand that anyone will do something other than for financial reward. He knows it, but he doesn’t understand it. I think if he orders invasions there may well be a mutiny. Things will get messy.

For my own peace of mind I’ve stopped buying American owned products, where possible. The US is bullying a Commonwealth member, maybe the Commonwealth boycotts American goods. I think 30% of the world not buying Heinz might get noticed. Maybe not make much of a difference but you do what you can.

It’s a terrible feeling. Brexit was similar for all of us that didn’t want to leave Europe. Not that I’m competing, you have it worse but we’re all behind you. It’s easy to sit back and say ‘do this’ or ‘do that’ when it’s not your door that might get knocked down. Peace & Love.

It’s so dumb. Studies have shown some home-workers have 47% more priductivity. Boring, repetitive tasks fair badly at home but these days why are humans even doing that? Finally, what does she know about ‘hard work’ being a journalist isn’t exactly working at the coal face.

Before Brexit you rarely saw gaps on supermarket shelves. I see it a lot more now. Not the whole store of course but sections will be bare of sparse. Maybe JIT ordering contributes? Cue anecdote: ‘If I don’t get to my usual store in the morning, all the cottage cheese has gone’

Someone may benefit from this. We have a small electric flame effect heater which isn’t used much but even just having the red flame-effect light on makes you feel warmer. Hopefully a small red bulb doesn’t use to much electric.
