UWU condemns the Israeli Government’s blockade on humanitarian aid, including food, entering Gaza, putting more than two million Palestinians at critical risk of mass starvation. We call on the Australian Government to take immediate steps to secure peace and compliance with international law.

Less that we left and more that we have limited resources to allocate so we have been focusing those where have already built large audiences. But we have a plan to create more regular content for Bluesky that started with this!

After decades of privatisation, this is a massive win, won by United Workers Union members who never gave up the fight. Today’s decision by the NSW Government shows what’s possible when workers raise their voices & governments listen. After years of campaigning, this move will bring real relief....

It's time Premier Peter Malinauskas and the SA government to act. Support workers deserve respect, job security, and fair pay. Without them, there are no safe support services! #ValueOurWork #SAStrong #RespectAtWork

This isn’t about extra funding. It’s about workers getting paid properly and having secure jobs so they can keep delivering essential services.

That’s why workers are taking action today until they win fair wages! This phase of action includes: ✅ Refusing unpaid admin work ✅ Not filling out fleet logbooks ✅ Chalking DHS vans with ‘Safe Support Services NOW!’ ✅ Leaving council bins for management to move

Safe support services depend on a stable workforce. But right now, low pay and job insecurity are forcing experienced workers out of the sector. That puts the people they support at risk.

These workers provide critical disability support services, but many can no longer afford to stay in the job. Instead of fixing this, DHS is relying on agency workers to fill shifts.

🚨 BREAKING: More than 1100 DHS disability support workers in SA have begun statewide work bans today in their fight for fair pay and secure jobs. 🧵👇 #ValueOurWork #SASupport

A very long-fought campaign win for @unitedworkers.org.au Early Educators! 15% on such a low wage is more of a parity than a raise, but this is still a win (and some much-needed breathing room). Tonight we celebrate, tomorrow the battle begins anew! Union Strong!

Cool thing you can do to support the current Woolies warehouse strike: Post photos of empty shelves, preferably also asking WW to pay their stood down workers, and give them fair working conditions. Use the hashtag #WooliesOnStrike or #WooliesStrike
