Another wonderful RPG campaign at Banzaicon. We (me, the players, and the rest of our crew team) shaped a tiny world.

"Choose or Create" is such a powerful technique for getting a player invested in what and who a character is. It's like the best of both worlds. "Roll or Choose" is also good. I don't think I have seen the trifecta of Roll, Choose, or Create anywhere, but I assume someone must have.

Well, I just had someone email us to request missing components... that don't exist for the game. He used a chatbot to "research" what might be missing from a used copy of the game and it hallucinated new components.

For the last #Ludomachy of #edfringe26 we created Scrambledice, making 20 custom dice from wooden cubes. A fun little speed game, with a bit of strategy and upset to keep it interesting.

A line of six pairs of cubes, the cubes have different symbols on them.
Dice are placed next to the pairs on each side, aiming to match the targets.
A running sand timer indicates how long is left to play the dice.

Courage & Cowardice is a wargame for three players: Two players control units, using blackjack-style attack resolution, trying to capture objectives. The third player is trying to use the other players' forces to tell a cool story! #edfringe

Today's #Ludomachy created Disruption, another standard-card-deck game. We had settled on short rounds, and the ability to mess with the other players. The piles-and-swaps mechanic was our third attempt at the concept: it worked but needed refinement. #edfringe #edfringe26 Three shows left!

Today's #Ludomachy found "L'Amore Est Dans La Cles", a game about unlocking the locks of the heart. Three players collaborate to build a key, making columns of tiles which connect and fulfill the corresponding tumbler's requirements. Alternating between planning and placing. #EdFringe #EdFringe26

Above each tumbler is a column of three tiles (one is missing from the middle column), two columns are face down, ready to reveal if the previous tumbler is passed.

Another #Ludomachy! At the afternoon special show we created "Spoilheap", a game springboarded by the concept of competing archeologists digging for treasures. You can't play face cards, because they are human remains, so you have to lie about them! #gamedesign #edfringe #edfringe26

Our second #Ludomachy of the Fringe: Di-Noir, a paleontological whodunnit. In the employ of the Loch Ness Monster our dinosaur detective attempts to solve an ancient murder by digging in different locations, triggering different story events along the way. #edfringe #edfringe26 #gamedesign
