Communities are at the heart of the HIV response. But community-led organizations were the hardest hit by the funding cuts to HIV in 2025. Find out more about the impact of the cuts to the global HIV response: www.unaids.org/en/resources...

Globally, new HIV infections fell by 42% since 2010. The progress is even greater in countries like Benin, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Nepal, Rwanda and Zimbabwe, where infections fell by at least 78%, placing them on track towards the goal of a 90% reduction by 2030. www.unaids.org/en/resources...

95-95-95 remains one of the world's most powerful targets to end AIDS: ✅ by 2030, 95% of people living with HIV know their status ✅ 95% of those are on treatment ✅95% of those achieve viral suppression. The new Political Declaration reaffirms these targets. digitallibrary.un.org/record/41205...

Scaling up HIV prevention is essential to ending AIDS. The Political Declaration sets a new critical global target of reaching 20 million people with antiretroviral-based prevention by 2030, expanding access to effective options for those who need them most. digitallibrary.un.org/record/41205...

Good news! 11 countries have achieved the 95-95-95 HIV testing and treatment targets in 2025! Despite the progress, disparities continue to exist: between men and women, and children and adults. Ending AIDS requires achieving the targets across all populations. www.unaids.org/en/resources...

A sustainable HIV response needs sustainable financing. That's why through the new Political Declaration, countries have committed to mobilizing US$21.9 billion annually by 2030, while reinforcing domestic & international investment. digitallibrary.un.org/record/41205...

Viral suppression: ✅ improves health of people living with HIV ✅ prevents HIV transmission But access to treatment & viral load testing still varies by region. With the target of 38m people virally suppressed by 2030, we must ensure services are accessible. digitallibrary.un.org/record/41205...

Community-led services are critical for key populations most affected by HIV to access services like HIV prevention. However, the decline of funding puts this vital work at risk. For more data on HIV: www.unaids.org/en/resources...

Last year saw the sharpest drop of global aid, including to HIV programmes. As a consequence, HIV testing fell by 22% in high-burden settings, which means people do not know their HIV status and do not receive treatment. Fully funding the HIV response is critical. www.unaids.org/en/resources...

41m people are living with HIV. UNAIDS latest data shows that nearly 9m of them are not receiving treatment. Countries committed to ensuring 40m people living with HIV are on treatment by 2030. To meet this goal, we must ensure equitable access to HIV services. www.unaids.org/en/resources...

Due to low testing among children, only 55% of all children living with HIV are receiving lifesaving treatment. This is far below the treatment coverage among adults living with HIV (79%). This is unacceptable. We must close the gap so that no child is left behind. unaids.org/en/resources...
