Today marks the 16th anniversary of L'Abbaye des Morts. And we're working on an update! It was a small side project that @gryzor87.bsky.social and I made in the afternoons during a week-long trip to France. We released it in the void, but somehow it became a classic within the homebrew scene.

A return bus fare here is £6, so £2 for each mile of my journey. 2016 it was £3.50 and also when I stopped bothering using buses. 2003 the fare rose to £2 to round it up (from £1.40) temporarily during Iraq war.

A few years ago the council built cycle paths with small kerbs either side, I know to avoid them after almost coming a cropper at walking speed. Today a van & taxi were blocking the cycle lane for a group of cyclists, no sooner did I think I wouldn't touch that kerb, CRASH.
