The Legend of Heroes: Trails From Zero and Trails to Azure Coming to PS5, Switch 2
NIS America announced that it is releasing dedicated PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 versions of Nihon Falcom's The Legend of Heroes: Trails From Zero and The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure. The games, which make up the Crossbell duology of the wider The Legend of Heroes series, will launch later this year in separate digital releases and a combined physical edition. The PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 versions will include various performance enhancements, including 4k resolution support, with the Switch 2 version also including mouse input support.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure originally released in Japan in 2010 and 2011 respectively on PlayStation Portable before coming west in 2022 and 2023 through PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch versions. The games take place in the city-state of Crossbell, which lies between competing superpowers the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Calvard. It follows the members of the Crossbell Police Department’s Special Support Section, which has been newly established to help citizens and hunt monsters.
