AI now costs more than human workers. So don't tell us we can't afford UBI. If AI creates public-scale wealth, people deserve a share through Public Wealth Fund dividends.

In Canada, real estate (60-90% land value) is by far the #1 source of rising net worths. It's not even close. To restore the link between work and wealth, The Economist Editorial Board says build more housing and tax land value. We need leaders who will heed this call.

In the Baby's First Years study, low-income moms got US$333/mo (18% more income) for their child's first 6 years. Their kids showed slower biological aging. Because the costs of accelerated aging build over a lifetime, even small early gains could mean big public health returns.

One of the knock-on benefits of Universal Basic income, would be that people would not need to waste time on forms, and could use that time for projects, growing vegetables and many many more things.
"Being poor is actually a full-time job & being
broke is like a full-time job with the amount of
paperwork and the time going from office to
office proving what you have done.

With Universal Basic Income all that would
be eliminated with the time liberated to do
something socially productive."

South Korea's rural UBI (called Love Gift Certificates 🫰) was so successful, they wanted to make it permanent and expand to 69 regions. The results speak for themselves: local businesses grew, declining regions saw population growth. The west should pay attention when UBI works.

I think we should start painting everyone who is against UBI as soft on crime. Crime stems largely from desperation. Give people some real hope to improve their lives and crime will go down. Also the billionaires are driving people to desperation and causing the crime.

UBI is a floor. It's a dividend. It's not about replacing jobs. It's about making sure everyone has a non-zero floor to stand on and never fall beneath, and it makes sure that everyone benefits from productivity growth. And it is about enabling everyone to *choose* what they work on, paid or not.

The work that makes money relies on the vast amount of work that doesn't. Basic income recognizes both, supporting the work such as that of care, creative work, research and study, and acting in the commons.
An Iceberg showing what's visible is jobs and the huge amount Invisible is unpaid work.
