Sometimes I'll lie in bed on my stomach and play video games before bed. This is one of my cat, Artemis', favorite times because she comes and lies in the circle of my arms between my face and the Switch or Steam Deck, draping her head over my arm.

I really didn't need new jewelry but when I saw this come up from @peculiarityshop.bsky.social I just had to have it.

Spent 4 weeks doing this whole thing. I ran out of room on my sampler with 2 weeks left to go so the teacher had me do my last techniques on an abandoned loom. Of course now I really really want a table loom but they're so pricey!

This afternoon I looked in the mirror and laughingly said, "oh no, it's a bad body image day!" Glad I'm at a point where I can accept that I don't like what I see now, but know that could change tomorrow. Being able to turn away from putting myself down has taken too long. Still a struggle sometimes

I started a weaving class this past week. I'm trying not to obsess over the spacing of my threads and my imperfect edges. It's a new skill and I'm just starting. And of course I also had to make it a little bisexual.

Just thinking about how my mom told me she saw a video challenge where a sock and shoe are placed on the ground. You have to put on the sock, put on the shoe, then tie the shoe, all without putting the foot down. She was so impressed when I did it in front of her. Sometimes it's the simple things.

After a long and stressful week I decided to sit down and work on a bag of bamboo, merino wool, and angelina at my spinning wheel. Hoping to chain ply it into something like a fingering weight yarn.

Went to see Masquerade tonight with my sister. It's an immersive Phantom of the Opera and it was a really good time. I made my mask special but they also give you a petty cool looking one if you didn't bring your own.

Second day of my NY trip is coming to a close and I'm tired. Looking forward to just hanging around the house in jersey with my sister. So far saw Viola's Room, Don Giovanni, and Archduke. Very different shows and I enjoyed all of them though I think the first is still the front runner so far.

I'm in New York for my birthday and to visit my sister. I booked a hotel for the night and just down the block was an Asian market with one of those whipped cream fruit sandwiches.
