Sometimes I'll lie in bed on my stomach and play video games before bed. This is one of my cat, Artemis', favorite times because she comes and lies in the circle of my arms between my face and the Switch or Steam Deck, draping her head over my arm.

I really didn't need new jewelry but when I saw this come up from @peculiarityshop.bsky.social I just had to have it.

Hand with a ring on the pinky. The ring is mainly silver and open in the front. The ends of that opening are capped with a sword and dagger respectively, pointed down. The hilts are made of brass.

I had to pee so bad this morning I dreamed of going into a single bathroom with two toilets. They were set at right angles to each other so if two people were using them they could basically touch knees. My dream self just thought, "well, I guess if you're really good friends..."

This is the abandoned warp I did my last bits on. My final session will be spent on finishing the two pieces.

Spent 4 weeks doing this whole thing. I ran out of room on my sampler with 2 weeks left to go so the teacher had me do my last techniques on an abandoned loom. Of course now I really really want a table loom but they're so pricey!

Glad I'm at a point where I can accept that I don't like what I see now, but know that could change tomorrow. Being able to turn away from putting myself down has taken too long. Still a struggle sometimes

I started a weaving class this past week. I'm trying not to obsess over the spacing of my threads and my imperfect edges. It's a new skill and I'm just starting. And of course I also had to make it a little bisexual.

Just thinking about how my mom told me she saw a video challenge where a sock and shoe are placed on the ground. You have to put on the sock, put on the shoe, then tie the shoe, all without putting the foot down. She was so impressed when I did it in front of her. Sometimes it's the simple things.

I remember tagging along with my brother and mother as they visited some colleges. That would have been around 1997ish I think? We were firmly middle class. About 5 years later I spent time with some other prospects at Carnegie Mellon. No parents, just staying with current students.
