These are my Gel X, I’m going in for fills later this week. I’ve had these since March 6th. No chips. I’ve built four garden arbors, typed for hours each day, and I just used an industrial degreaser without gloves because I’m silly. I’ve also done a lot of DIYs, house and yard work. They last!

Oh and at some point they may tell you to go wash your hands at the sink. Do not use soap or lotion that might be by the sink, it’s more a rinse with using a nail brush on the underside of your nails. Dry with the provided washcloth, they’ll get rid of any fuzzies when you get back in the chair.

While dubbed the “millennial nail” an almond shaped nude is really nice and will look nice and classic in your photos. So if you like that look just do it, it’s popular because it works. Feel free to ping me if you have questions, happy to help you know what to expect.

You can take your hand out of the UV lamp when it clicks off. I highly recommend a gel manicure because it won’t chip so you get it done a little early. Gel X is stronger than acrylic, IMO. If you aren’t used to nails don’t get stiletto or short stiletto, you’ll risk puncturing clothes.

A couple tips, they will cross cross your hands to make sure each finger is the same length as the other. Put that one in means to put your hand in the UV light thing. Be careful not to bump against the inner walls of the UV lamp, if you do show them right away.

I get my nails done regularly. When I don’t want to talk, I wear over the ear headphones. If I don’t mind talking, I don’t. Depending on if you’re getting extensions or not, they will need to know length. Pick your color early. Have a pic of what you want on your phone. It’s typically very lowkey.

Big day!!! I cannot suggest anything more than going to the library and letting them pick out a couple. You will benefit from the expertise of a children’s librarian and it will save you sooo much $$$. Summer Reading Club is on the horizon and letting them explore the collection is a big deal.

I’ve thought about this more and I come from an era and socioeconomic background wherein most people had a parent that smoked and for some reason there was a point where everyone would say which brand their parent smoked as though we were saying which designer our mom wore. I always said “Reds”

Guuuuuurl. So like two years ago I saw wide leg dress trousers and was like “hmm…I did wear JNCO every day for 4 years if anyone should…🎶it’s me🎶 (Elphaba)” at the time I was using a medical grade knee scooter for a busted foot. Ran over the push leg, trouser leg RIPS up to mid-thigh.
