one of the few bright spots of fandom is how fan artists and fic writers can be each other's biggest admirers for the longest time and simply never know it until they work up the nerve to interact

I cannot emphasize enough that this is a comic book series about jellyfish, and miscellaneous jellyfish trivia become plot-relevant developments. okay but what is the plot, exactly? well---

Inari, furious at everyone charmed by Kuranosuke, vandalizes a public wall with "THEM BOOBS IS FAKE, BITCHES!" Her beleaguered assistant shouts "No! You'll get us arrested!"

Jiji is showing off books she's gotten for Kuranosuke. "I bought some books at the bookstore..." she says. She shows off "Intro to the Apparel Industry", another fashion book, and "Older Men." Kuranosuke says "One of those books isn't like the others...but thank you..."

Kai Fish holding up a dress. "A model's job is to wear the cheap dresses in a way that lets the poor dream big," he says.

"Songs for New Shores by tydides -> Super long, Harry- and depression-related angst, converted me to Jean/Judit. I'm getting close to the end, and this is probably one of the best-written fics I've read, period. For any fandom. Better than a lot of published books.

Live With Me by tydides-> Same writer as the first one, but not as long. Jean adopts Cunoesse (Jean sympathizes with her suicidal rages). It's uh...pretty rough. But beautiful. And it wrecked me."
