I'll let them back in on a technicality

Once you've had salted capers you never want to see the vinegared pricks again in your life

Think it becomes a feature of any large organisation that "do nothing" is never allowed as the best response. Just too many teams and processes and layers of 'oversight' ready to automatically kick into action at all times that is totally self-perpetuating

No it's a different one, an actual appliance man. Got Paul coming round next week though so we'll have a good laugh at your expense

There's a local bloke, I haven't used him but I'll dig his details off TC&T, seeing as you're banned

Off to pick up another few thousand trees that have been shipped over from Canada for burning, it's very environmentally friendly by the way

Axe Edge a rare 'resinous IPA' I actually like, and the Trolltunga gooseberry sour is one one of my favourites ever but now discontinued. I think I've got some ancient bottles of their imperial stouts which by now will be undrinkably 'complex' I reckon

Still got a couple of the stupid kwak glasses that I nicked in my student days and have dragged around various house moves since. Love a Buxton beer, had massive stockpiles delivered during the lockdown era

The replies are doing wonders for my hangover this morning. OB Bitter definitely one of those that I'll always try in the hope it will taste of a nostalgic Best Pint Ever, even though it never does

Yes I'd sit there enjoying a pint and then notice a group of biker blokes with dodgy tattoos dancing to motown. On grand national day there was a bloke running a book off an excel spreadsheet. A land of contrasts

It always turns up in unexpected places and says "don't worry, everything is going to be ok". Was always on at the Royal Oak in Halifax, which always seemed like an extremely suspect pub (now Under New Management who have kept the bad bits and got rid of the good bits)

Manchester hen party hellhole Alberts Schloss had this as their opening gimmick for a while, when it opened as a serious Bavarian food and drink place, a phenomenal drop

Hoegaarden 'grand cru' I used to think was the most sophisticated beer on the planet (20 years ago), I'm sure if I tasted it now I'd find it revolting

I want to criticise, but I remember I was the same with a slice of orange and a pint of hoegaarden, until I had a pint that had been spiked with a hallucinogen, and never touched it again

Do you want a bed in the Calder Valley. Maybe 3 nights or something. After that it will become prohibitively expensive. Also you have to babysit my children for at least one night.

No, no, I like visual art. Well I don't really see as much of it as I should; I mostly consume it by psychoanalysing the columns of the nation's most belligerent art reviewer.

Yeah I think that was there, definitely that kind of thing. I wonder what they thought would happen to my brain if I saw it. Just looked up what they're up to these days...Dinos is married to Amanda from Amandaland and they live on Laurel Canyon??!

Chapman bros were in an 18+ only room, I remember my dad coming out and saying he didn't see what the problem was, it was just a bunch of silly dolls with cocks on their heads (my dad is not Jonathan Jones btw)

All a bit hazy these days lol. Strong memories of the big ticket items, really liked the Hirsts and the Myra portrait. Didn't get why my dad thought the Sarah Lucas fried eggs/kebab was funny!! It was all good for thinking about 'ideas' anyway

JJ turning up at the 90s Art and Fashion retrospective at the Tate and saying "Hello mate, which way to the Fat Les?". He's a national treasure, and entirely right.

Have you seen the price of a box of fishfingers recently, it's the single biggest cost for households after petrol and fags, easily the biggest domestic sector in the economy

A network specially for people who didn't go to private school but their parents did move house to make sure they got into one of the top 5% of state schools which are essentially socially selective anyway

Some random lowbie 'influencer' posted a video of my mum having a drink in a 'viral cocktail hangout' the other day and someone who knows her saw it and texted my parents like "did you know you're in this video". They're in their 70s, why should they have to deal with this!

Why don't you settle this beef like gentlemen - by arranging your little painted figurines on a table and rolling some dice to see which ones get blown up

The only velvet underground album I have never stated definitively to be the best one is white light/white heat. Maybe I could make that my bit for Q4 (or Q3 if you work in financial years)
