87 years ago, President Roosevelt signed the Fair Labor Standards Act into law, establishing the 40-hour workweek, child labor protections, overtime pay, minimum wage and more. These protections were won because workers stood up, organized and demanded better.

Just saw some data that the NEA has revoked/rescinded 13 million dollars (that we know of right now) to arts orgs across the country. This is money that was promised and appropriated by Congress for those institutions. That's real money for real people to have real jobs and an income.

Many of our rulebooks have been clarified to read “Actors and Stage Managers”, but if they don’t, anytime you see the word Actor (with a capital A) this also refers to Stage Managers.

Stage Managers have a contractual right to participate in company votes (like approving the use of straight sixes or shortening the meal break).

Contractual rules apply to actors AND stage managers, unless it explicitly says otherwise. So those 5 or 10 minute breaks? Stage managers get to take those too (and can answer questions or reset props when they’re back from break!).
