“Suffering drives behavior of avoidance which propels an individual to survive, but can also consume oneself when overwhelmed by its sheer weight.” So avoidance of suffering can cause more of it. This year, I am doing something every month that scares me - so far, it’s working! 💙📚

AES has raised rates so much, that using LESS energy this year now landed me a bill that is DOUBLE what it was in 2025. Bills like this have the potential to make people homeless. This is criminal - and they’re intending to raise rates AGAIN this year!!!!! #Indiana #Indianapolis #AES

I just finished this witchy read called Hawt Flash: Midlife in Aura Cove by Blair Bryan and for anyone who has gone through a divorce with a narcissist, it is *chefs kiss* absolutely glorious and hilarious in its delivery of just desserts. It’s a series, so I’m immediately into book two. #booksky 💙📚
Hawt Flash: Midlife in Aura Cove by Blair Bryan. The cover has a wine glass, palm trees, a city skyline, truffle chocolates with little sparkles indicating they are magic surrounding them. Midlife in Ara Cove. A little Florida town with big secrets. Turning 50 is supposed to be a milestone, but for Katie Beaumont, it's the beginning of a supernatural adventure that will change her life forever.
Devastated by her husband's infidelity, Katie discovers she possesses powers beyond her wildest dreams. But as she embarks on a journey of explosive self-discovery a century of ancestral secrets begins to unravel and threatens to upend everything she thought she knew
Guided by her sassy best friend, a talking dog, and la ball-busting lawyer, Katie embraces her new life. But she soon realizes that her magical abilities come with a price and enemies who will stop at nothing to claim them.
Filled with hilarious revenge,
outrageous female
empowerment, and the comfort of family, this small-town paranormal women's fiction, series will leave you breathless and prove there is a lot of life to live after 50.

Looking forward to reading Hexes Go Well With Tequila by a fellow Indiana Hoosier and feminist rabble-rouser Leanna Ehrsam! I love it when I find my people in my state! #booksky 📚💙
Hexes Go Well with Tequila book cover by Leanna Ehrsam. Cover has a large three story black spooky house with a woman in a floral dress and a dog standing on the sidewalk. The moment, Ursula, Cambridge, a 38-year-old woman from the Midwest, decides she finished being invisible in her life and relationship, she and her Irish wolfhound, Casper get a magical invitation to live in the lost soul‘s house in Salem, Massachusetts.

There, she finds herself immersed in a magical town, living in a house with a graveyard that hosts the lost souls, one of Salem’s mysteries that keeps the town and tourist guessing, and someone would do anything to keep their dark origin a mystery.

As she struggles to find her footing in this town, four women come around her, showing her the importance of community, friendship, and magical camaraderie when they wake up with more than margarita, hangovers and find that they’re playful graveyard he has worked.

When Ursula bumped into the town bachelor who is rumored to be cursed, she tries to see her clear of his unreasonably grumpy disposition, but finds herself drawn to his surly yet vulnerable teenage niece Bess who forms an attachment to Ursula.

Thrown into the middle of a modern day witch hunt, Ursula has to navigate a mysterious world of magic and mystery, political warfare, and passionate intentions with a man who has sworn off women, who bears a strengthening resemblance to the paper towel, Brawny Man. Hexes Go Well With Tequila will bring you on a whimsical journey of found family and found self, uncovering a centuries old mystery of 10 lost souls and fighting for invisible women.
