I used to be an Artist First Nerd Lifestyle brand, believe it or not, but that didn't fly as well as I intended for it to, but it's still somewhat there in my philosophy

Anytime a big creator causes drama my thought is "Mindfulness first" I never want to be so big that I lose sight of why I do what I do. It's not cringe to want to be appreciated for who you are or what you do, it is however dumb to let ego get in the way of doing what's right.

To a creator I admire at Unplugged, when asked "What would you do with fame and power?" I said "I'd be a Daedalus or Hephaestus, an armorer for modern day heroes who spread levity and kindness, giving them the tools they need for the frontlines"

Wow, just catching y'all up here. I posted awhile ago about doing a "Tavern luncheon" at PAX Unplugged, and y'all SHOWED UP. It makes me want to do it more and refine my work.. host more events in the future. More photos of the event are coming! And I can't wait to share!

The ever prep, my dice box, in walnut, with a custom artwork engraving.

The Praetorian Tournament Box, a prototype I'm working at for those with a few treasured decks of trading and playing cards

The snack shield and circular dice/snack trays I've been working at. (Pst, line them with wax paper or plastic wrap for dips and sauces like this, makes clean up so much easier)

Showing off the Praetorian to a few amazing creators that stopped by the Tavern

So, here's my year in review. April was Japan, Shortly after was PAX East, my Mother moved in May, and June July saw me move into my Studio office at Lullco, August and September saw me fixing three new machines, and October prepping for PAX Unplugged and a Tavern party the likes I'd never dreamed

I might as well share here. I flew waaaaay to close to the sun back in June/July and proposed putting on a full blown Networking Luncheon at PAX Unplugged. And now, its all coming true! I can't wait to see you all there, but for now! Onwards! To TwitchCon!!

Icarus laughed as he fell.. for he knew it meant he had flown.

No but for real, I can't wait to see you all there at the Tavernware Luncheon

As always, no inventory refresh is complete without the massive bunch of Mini-trays I make. Here they are, nested like honeycomb.

A MASSIVE chonker. A heckin' thicc boi cutting board for a client. I cannot wait to send this one out the door.

The Ever-Prep. My latest and greatest. Perfect for about 2.5 to 3 sets of dice, and works even with slightly oversized dice.
So you're "Ever-Prepared" for an adventure

Combini Haul from last night after landing in Japan. I didn't aspire to go from woodworker to Japan travel vlogger, but here we are I guess. #combinihaul More crafting content on the way

Pulled pork and mayo Onigiri. Totally blew all my expectations out of the water. Rice was perfect. 10/10

Fresh cooked salmon Onigiri, paired this with a canned suntory highball. Definitely recommend 9/10

The nearly full combini haul from Lawson's, cost us 20 bucks and tasted amazing. When a Japanese convenience store meal can beat most American restaurants... oof.. thats just.. rough bruh

Woodworking tip, keep your business cards on you. Recently had an experience with a client where they either demanded cards for friends, lost the card and found me through other means, both cases they ordered a couple hundred in inventory each. Easy sales just for carrying around pieces of paper

Local Pop up show I did yesterday. handed out cards, made friends, had a grand old time

The four large dice trays currently in stock, two of them sold last night to a client who sought me out, specifically because I was unafraid to talk with him about what I do, and is just an awesome dude in general.

All the inventory I coated in finish yesterday when prepping for a pop up show, got alot done and absolutely kicked ass

My card, with my phone number blocked so I don't doxx myself, I give everyone 2 or 3, with the logic that "One for you and two for friends" and it's worked tremendously

I've interior and exterior sanded 78 pieces today, for a craft show tomorrow, and I think it may be a late night for me, but the coolest thing, is that I've nearly done this MAJOR accomplishment, regardless of how tomorrow goes. I'll be proud of myself #woodworking #dicetray

After interior sanding, but before the 220 stage I had to do. 78 dice trays lined up waiting for me to finish them after lunch

As you can see, this is in the middle of interior sanding these pieces... and as you can tell by the picture later in the day, even my water got tired..

There no shame in working for your parents, especially when they're as bad ass as my mother. (This is not an opinion, I am repeatedly told this by vendors, her colleagues and even clientele about how wonderful she is) When she found out she'd be out of work for awhile she asked me to help!

Me and Ma infront of a client who was absolutely thrilled with their new gas fireplace insert, and all set to go for next seasons chill, before the ground even thawed in New England.

This week's work has seen me the busiest, and at the same time the most successful I've seen myself in a long time. I'm trying to also catch up on backlogged commissions, but for now, here's what rolled through the shop this week

Built a Carving blank, someone asked for a 3d carved wooden crown, and I let them know while I didn't have time for for the full carve, I could make them a blank and they could take it from there. They agreed, and I whipped this up for them.

Another shot of a carving blank for the 7 tined crown

Abit zoomed out, but this, was a stack of 64 classroom posters for a local school focused on teaching kids Ubuntu, and how to communicate in an "In-house" ASL of sorts. There were alot of really practical terms in their lexicon they asked me to engrave on 12x18 sheets of plywood

Another better example of what I was able to do for them this week, the posters were grouped like this, and after engraving I cut them in half on the table saw.

The Small and Medium dice trays arranged nicely on my display table for photos. In both their beechwood and multi-wood forms

More of the dice trays laid out for pictures, you can kinda see the seams of the room now instead of the illusion I wanted of the clothed tavern table.

I tried to get artsy and alittle referential with some of my favorite use cases. Cheezits and Werthers are apparently "Old people Snacks" now 😭💀

My "Pokè Bowl" Tray, It's legally distinct I promise. It just happens to look alot like a very prominent gaming symbol. I love the little stroke of genius I had in making those center cups juuuuust big enough for a 3 or 4 oz ceramic ramekin

Ahh Yes, all the dice scattered here in the open prototype shield that's been "struggling to get adopted" it's okay I still love him. This guy set the tone and the mold for the rest of my trays.
