Ah yes, let's cut costs on the cheapest part of the production pipeline. And then have producers and execs wonder why removing human intentionality and specificity in the pre-production process is ballooning their production budget on re-shoots

Something I learned about that tool is that the zoom percentage of the camera effects what it considers small. Like if you make a circle and erase a little bit of it. It won't fill in with small gap of 2, but zoom out to 16% and it does immediately.

On the 2D side of things, I also see Toon Boom heading down this road. Their prices continue to inflate because they hold a monopoly (locking out many artists interested in learning the software). Meanwhile Moho is looking more and more appealing

Using AI for your art references not only gives you a skewed & inaccurate view of the world, it also puts resource providers like myself & all these awesome people out of work! Using REAL photo references is what levels up your art AND supports the stock/resource community! ❤️💪

Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM

126178705894

Tunatiger @tunatiger.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

Not saying some of those projects don’t deserve to get green-lit, but there are so many amazing show concepts that will never be made if studios continue to close the doors on the previous pitching model (which was already flawed)

010

Tunatiger @tunatiger.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

It’s also wild how studios aren’t even interested in pitches anymore for new IP (internally or externally). They want creators to hand them a pre-packaged idea with a large built in audience (usually from YT or graphic novels), so they can take none of the risk and just cash out
