🥬 I try to grow Chinese Cabbage every year, with very mixed success. This year I have some fine looking examples, probably because I got the timing right. So I foresee making some Kimchi in the near future 🤗 👨‍🌾 #Gardening #VegetableGrowing #GrowYourOwn 🌱

🫑 The garden teardown continues. Today I cut down all the covered 🍅 plants, harvesting what was good to use, making a batch of sauce from a tub. Then I moved a whole bunch of potted 🫑 plants into the covered space. Harvested another tub too. 👨‍🌾 #Gardening #VegetableGrowing #GrowYourOwn 🌱

Saw an update so went to try the alt-text just in case. Not all of the alt-text edit dialog is visible on iPad, and it shuffles around as you go from landscape ⬅️ to portrait ↗️ and back to landscape ↘️ I now see that the alt-text edit dialog must be scrolled upwards as it doesn’t fit on-screen.

There’s a big gap below the alt-text editing dialog, which has been cut-off in landscape mode.

In portrait mode the edit field is cut-off.

Back to landscape mode and the alt-text dialog has been scrolled up to show less of the image, the full text edit box and now the Save button has become visible.

The new alt-text editor doesn’t work on iPad. Witness how it adds and removes the image, and I can’t see the text as I swap orientation from landscape to portrait. I’m afraid that it’s completely impossible to fill in now. I have to type in gibberish and tap on blank space to ‘accept’ it.

McAuley’s book is an unfortunate trade paperback accident from back in the day when I would get caught out. And Butler’s book is captioned with “Book 2” as I haven’t read the first book yet, so that means doubling up which is probably at the extreme end of my monthly reading bandwidth, so I probably won’t include this in my own October TBR.

It’s like one stem has gone white. Lots of colour on the fresh pods on an adjacent stem. My pods tend to be rounder and fatter than yours, though I know we’ve got different plant styles via this unstable variety.

Could we rebalance the way iPad real estate is used? There is now a lot of redundant space as images and quoted posts get smushed into a very narrow column over on the left. For example, these images… why are they shown in portrait mode like an 📱 screen? All that empty space on the right…

📦 Once package arrived I can finally see what went wrong. There was too much in it, it didn’t seal shut, the end ripped off, the contents came loose. ‘zon dumped the contents, while UPS asked me at my door if anything was missing. There wasn’t, but there’s damage. That’s the ‘but’ from earlier ☝️

📮 My past experience with #Lulu is that they shipped “Mail” (their standard service) through Royal Mail, though I could never figure out their tracking ID 📧 notification 🤷‍♂️
