Q: How do we get people/the system to start viewing bikes as functional tools? A: I think it's iterative and partly cultural. As more people bike and more people know someone who gets around by bike, it gets easier to view that as something that's normal. Driving used to play a similar role!

I've really taken to watching mid-distance track running races in recent months. The commentators are incredible at calling the races!! One thing that blows me away is how often they seem to race!? Everytime I go on YT Jess Hull and Georgia Hunter Bell are racing AGAIN. #athletics #running #track

The "massive weekly grocery haul" is a symptom of car-dependent sprawl, not a universal rule of life. Healthy cities don't force you to drive to a warehouse store. Good design makes grabbing fresh food a quick, passive part of your daily walk or bike commute. These straw men arguments bore me.

Commuted D'mouth to Hfx at 7:30am today. I very rarely ride there at that time of day. Was super impressed by how much cycling traffic there was!! Cyclists def were not a few weirdo outliers or committed hardcores, they were just regular folks who didn't want to crawl along with the cars.
