I had a short but sweet stream in the late evening playing the Belmont's Curse demo. It feels like Dead Cells (gee I wonder why lol) with a Castlevania skin. It could be nice? I want to day one it but it'd mostly be on deck and the deck perf was a lil' rough.

insomnia my old friend.. ...anyway it's crazy that the hololive gacha has stricter security than even banking or social credit systems lol (kernel level anticheat, same one used in JP uma) so guess i'm glad i have an apple device..

once in a while I wonder what we could have had, modding wise, if the people doing things in that scene weren't all serial killer rapists, sociopathic stalkers, or just plain evil and jealous people who never grew out of high school cliques. splinter everything and create wars between groups..

I don't think the average FFXIV modder contains enough nuance to give a shit about using an LLM for prototyping, but if you make a callout post going "haha look my competitor is vibe coded", people will immediately draw pitchforks and I find it hard to believe you are acting in good faith doing that

I don't really want to get into discussing ethical LLM usage but I think it's quite irresponsible to throw out an accusatory post painting your competitor in a bad light while also doing the exact same thing you're complaining about

I'm sympathetic to the people who feel like they have to be on Twitter to promote themselves, but it looks like now you literally can't ask people to retweet you anymore so yeah, the best time to build up an audience on another site was two years ago, the second best time is now.

Feels a little weird that security pods I used to listen to decades ago are all in on AI now.. Not from a security standpoint but just a general "it makes my life so much better I no longer have to do boring chores!!" kinda vibe and it just feels weird..

Reclaiming the culture of games isn't a battle we'll win overnight, but it's one we can wage in our own ways. Jailbreak your console. Learn how to solder to mod and repair your stuff. Write blogs. Publish zines. Stream niche games. Make videos. Import games and study languages to play them.

I beat Dawntrail for a second time. I don't know why I did this, don't ask me where my sanity went I needed things to do between learning blue mage spells, spawning s-ranks, playing triple triad, and gushing over my friends and their cute green and other coloured fish/lizards.
