Re-watched Sam Raimi's Spider-Man for the first time in a while. Incredible movie, some dated CGI aside. Like really remarkable acting all around and it's kind of amazing how that one upsidedown kiss with MJ had more erotic tension than like everything in the MCU (and most movies nowadays tbh)

UPDATE: THEY HAVE EMAILED ME. yep, it's exactly what I thought. SEVEN DAY SUSPENSION for this post, and complete ignorance of original context. here's the email and my reply, because y'all deserve the transparency that bluesky moderation refuses to provide to its user base.

the person i was replying to was mocking me by referencing an event from three years ago that nearly killed me. their post is still up.

this isn't the only time they harassed me. the other times they did so, I literally detached my posts from their quotes so that they wouldn't get their friends in on it. i eventually made a post pleading for them to leave me alone. I would provide it if you hadn't suspended me from access to my posts.

my post was absolutely not a threat, it was a post where I was like "well, while it would be better off this way, understandable if not." i was being INCREDIBLY mild given the circumstances. no one else stood up for me (until after my account was taken down) and I know that nothing would be done if I reported it.

as kindly as I can ask, please reconsider. At the very least, you could have just removed my post and examined the context instead of igniting more trauma on my end by amplifying the validity of this event that nearly killed me.

Just watched Predator Badlands, damn good movie. Though significantly fewer Badlands than the title would suggest. So that's three for three good recent Predator movies. Bet a lot of other old franchises trying to revive themselves are jealous as hell.

FYI Americans: if you had Canadian grandparents/parents: you may be Canadian

What does the new law say?
Bill C-3, which came into force on December 15, 2025, reinstates citizenship by descent beyond the first generation. In 2009, the Conservative government had restricted access to citizenship. Canadians born abroad could therefore only pass on their Canadian citizenship if their child was born in Canada. The law was ruled unconstitutional by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Now, to be eligible for Canadian citizenship by descent, a person born abroad before the coming into force of Bill C-3 must have an ancestor who became a Canadian citizen on or after January 1, 1947 (the date the status of Canadian citizenship was created).

The new law also specifies that a person can become a citizen if one of their deceased parents or grandparents had obtained citizenship status upon the law's entry into force.

Okay I think this is too stupid and I can't process it. Did this guy spend $20 to try and get his computer to remind him to buy milk? Something cell phones have been able to do for free basically since we've had cell phones?

Watched Jurassic World Rebirth. Started out dumb, got dumber. Might not have been a total waste if they had managed to make me care about anyone of the characters. They didn't.
