Warm up possible next week. Like kinda a big warm up. For our area this could mean rapid snowmelt and fast COLD rivers and streams. Stay tuned

The next two weeks are looking like a pattern we've seen all season, above average temps and dry. This season has definitely been a lot of big dumps then weeks of nothing. There is a chance, albeit iffy right now, of the storms coming back towards the end of the month. We'll see 🤷🏻‍♀️

Showers possible Wednesday and a Lake Wind Advisory. Temps will drop in the early afternoon and will be cold overnight. Highs in the 40s for the rest of the week then a warm up for Sunday into Monday. Highs could stay above 50 for most of next week but we'll see how that pans out.

Meteorological Spring starts today. Today we have showers and lightning in the vicinity. Wednesday looks like we get another chance at some showers. After that the models are showing a whole lot of nothing through the 15th. Not really a Miracle March so far.

I'm not convinced lake level temps will creep this close to 60 before February ends... But this winter has been anything but predictable so we'll see. Slight rain chances this weekend; a possible thunderstorm or two on Saturday. The extended predictions have us with above average temps & pretty dry.

Here comes the rain. We have both a Lake Wind Advisory and an Avalanche Watch in effect for the area. Rain, heavy at times, expected through Tuesday and easing up on Wednesday. Another chance of rain/wintery mix over the weekend but so far just a 30% chance

Minor flooding possible in Northern California on Tuesday as a Pineapple Express system brings rain-on-snow to elevations below ~9,000 ft. Mountain rivers and roads areas are more at risk to flooding and standing water. #CAwx

This is an excellent & balanced overview of recently increased pace of planetary warming. There's much we still don't know, & there are almost certainly multiple causes, but possibility (not confirmed, but real) that these trends portend higher climate sensitivity is disquieting.

300 characters makes it hard to get all the caveats about projections and snow levels in. So, hopefully these images will tell the story. Wet but warm atmospheric river probability high starting Dec 19th, possibly hanging out off and on through the 27th. Stay tuned!

Multiple Rx burns coupled with humidity, cold air aloft, and fairly low cloud cover is trapping smoke close to the ground. Showers should clear out this afternoon into the evening. Saturday brings our next storm of mostly rain, 7k to 8k ft snow levels and 100+ mph winds to the ridge line.

Weather changes on the horizon. This weekend looks lovely then we cool off and have increased chances of rain starting Monday. Most models are leaning towards Monday afternoon into Tuesday being heaviest. One model is teasing snow a week out, but that's unlikely. Enjoy the weekend!

Much lower probabilities of storms today but not completely out of the picture. Tomorrow starts a lovely looking Labor Day weekend. Locals summer (IYKYK) starts off with temps around 80, lows in the 40s. Slight chances for thunderstorms return Wednesday into Thursday, but we'll see.
