I was looking this up because I found out Lord of the Rings was translated as "Yubiwa(ring) Monogatari", the word used for Japan's famous epics like Tale of Genji (Genji Monogatari), and I thought that was an extremely cool and evocative idea

When A Wizard of Earthsea was first translated into Japanese, it was renamed "Record of Ged War", which is weird not only because Ged does not fight a war and the series is ideologically anti-war, but because "Earthsea" seems like it'd just sound awesome to a Japanese reader

Four books she worked on: It Aint Me Babe (1970), A Century of Women Cartoonists (1993), Flapper Queens (2020), and The Legend of Wonder Woman (1986).
